WSEM infant, toddler and preschool programs

The WSEM Early Childhood Center of Excellence offers:
 
  • Part-day, full-day, center-based and home-based preschool care and education programs, along with full-day infant and toddler educational programs;
  • Convenient neighborhood locations throughout Greater Cleveland;
  • Credentialed staff;
  • Early Head Start programming for pregnant mothers and children birth-3;
  • Head Start federally funded programs (7) serving children ages 3-5;
  • Highly compassionate, supportive, stimulating and safe learning environments;
  • Low teacher-student ratio for individualized instruction;
  • Caring support staff to provide children with extra personal attention;
  • Inclusive opportunities for children with disabilities; and
  • A proven, research-based curriculum that encourages active learning.

Classroom efforts are supported by providing parenting classes and outreach support services including health, mental health, dental and social services. The effort to build strong families continues with adult parenting programs. By addressing the needs of the parents and their children, WSEM is providing parents with the supports they need to nurture their children and assist the next generation in achieving economic independence.

 
Impact: 703 children participated in the Early Childhood Education Programs
Nearly 100 percent of our children received medical and dental exams through our Programs
 
Success: At WSEM’s Head Start Program, Carilyn's daughter is receiving the special education and care she needs in a safe environment.
