Near West Food & Family Service Center (NWFFSC) supports the belief that well-nourished bodies, education, compassion, and understanding will nurture healthy minds. A healthy mind will enable people to become self-reliant. NWFFSC offers food pantry services, evening meals, mentoring, outreach services, medical counseling, psychological counseling, nutrition counseling, legal services, and an anti-violence/early dropout prevention program called SOAR (Seeking Option And Resolutions). All services are free of charge. The center operates Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, with extended evening hours on certain days of the week. |
