centers of excellence

In 2006, West Side Ecumenical Ministry refocused its programs into three Centers of Excellence by which it delivers services:

• WSEM Food Centers – Cuyahoga County 's largest food distributor on the West Side, provides 750,000 meals a year and more than 13,000 supportive services to families and children. 
  
• Early Childhood Education Center – Educates more than 600 children age 0 to 5 every day. 
  
• El Barrio/WSEM Workforce Development Center – Works with more than 1,000 adults and youth each year to help them achieve self-sustaining jobs through job preparation, case management, retention and pre-vocational programs. 
  

In addition, our Counseling Solutions program, which provides short-term counseling to nearly 800 adults and children a year, supports individuals receiving services in all three Centers of Excellence.
