Volunteering At WSEM
Volunteers are vital to West Side Ecumenical Ministry's (WSEM) ability to provide real help, real hope and real futures for over 48,000 Clevelanders in need each year. Our dedicated volunteers work hand-in-hand with our caring staff, offering over 27,000 hours annually to help feed the hungry, and help prepare children, youth and adults for future success through various education, workforce preparation and counseling initiatives. Volunteers also help support our many fundraising events that help make these critical support services possible.
WSEM Volunteers Reflect Cleveland
WSEM volunteers represent a cross-section of people in Northeast Ohio . They range in age from young to mature, come from all walks of life and are from diverse cultural, racial, ethnic and religious backgrounds. They include caring individuals and families seeking to help those less fortunate, church groups and other faith-based organizations, corporate groups, adult service organizations, students, and individuals with community service requirements.
